of Services |

You are responsible for maintaining
the telephone line, referred to as
the 'inside wire', and service jacks
inside your residence. You can just
give us a call when you need help
and we will be happy to make a service
call based on our service call charge
of $45.00 plus our $18.00 quarter-hourly
rate plus the cost of materials.
But for just $4.99 per month
you can avoid unexpected and costly
'inside wire' repairs in your home
by signing up for this protection
service.
If you subscribe to this service,
we will be responsible for the maintenance
of the following:
- Inside wiring up to the phone
jacks
- phone jacks
- NOT INCLUDED are telephones, telephone
cords, Caller ID boxes, and wiring
between the phone jacks and telephone
equipment -- though isolating a
problem to one of these devices
as part of the troubleshooting process
will be done at no extra charge.
Plan takes effect 60 days after you
place your order. The waiting period
is waved if you currently have a wire
maintenance plan and are a current
BELL customer. |
| Who
is eligible? |
- All Covista Long Distance local
customers are eligible for this
service.
- Key phone systems, PBXs and other
non-basic telephone systems are
not eligible.
NOTE: If you live in a group living
facility, such as a co-op, condo,
apartment or dorm, it may be someone
else's responsibility. Before ordering
this service, check to make sure that
you are, in fact, responsible for
your inside wire and phone jack maintenance. |
| Exclusions |
- Pre-existing problems
- Problems caused by willful damage
- Problems caused by fire, explosion
or Acts of G-d (such as windstorms,
floods, hurricanes, tornadoes)
- Key phone systems, PBXs and other
non-basic telephone systems are
not eligible
- Telephones, telephone cords, Caller
ID boxes, and wiring between the
phone jacks and telephone equipment
are not included, though isolating
a problem to one of these devices
as part of the troubleshooting process
will be done at no extra charge
- Equipment not meeting telecommunications
industry standards
- Situations where after reasonable
attempts are made, are deemed hazardous
or otherwise unsafe (such as the
presence of asbestos)

| Changes
and Cancellations |
- The rate and terms can be changed,
or the service cancelled with 30
days written notice.
- You may cancel at any time by
mail, telephone, or email.

| Warranty
and Liability |
- Our work and the materials we
use are warranteed to the extent
that we will replace defective parts
and/or make corrective service calls.
- KISS Long Distance SHALL NOT BE
LIABLE FOR DAMAGES, WHETHER DIRECT,
INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL
RESULTING FROM ANY DEFECTS IN MATERIAL
OR WORKMANSHIP OTHER THAN THE ACTUAL
REPLACEMENT OF DEFECTIVE MATERIALS.
- THIS PLAN DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY
EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES
OF MERCHANT ABILITY OR FITNESS FOR
A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
